Coulomb blockade in Majorana wires

In this talk I will discuss the transport of characteristics for a system of N helical nanowires in proximity to a mesoscopic superconducting island, where 2N Majorana bound states are formed and contacted by M<=2N connected normal leads. We show that a finite charging energy, however weak, will then destabilize the resonant Andreev reflection fixed point. For M>2 and sufficiently *weak* but finite charging, a strong-coupling fixed point corresponding to multichannel Kondo behavior is found, which is robust against anisotropy and predicted to exhibit non-Fermi liquid behavior in the conductance [1]. For M=2, a Majorana single-charge transistor can be realized [2], where a gate charge provides an additional knob to find signatures of Majorana fermions.
