Phonon-assisted cyclotron resonance via the multiphoton absorption process in quantum wells with a parabolic potential

The theory of phonon-assisted cyclotron resonance (PACR) in a quantum well with a parabolic potential (QWPP) has been studied in the case of multiphoton absorption. The analytic expression for the absorption power in the QWPP is obtained by using the perturbation approach. From the numerical and graphical method, we consider the dependence of absorption power on frequency of electromagnetic field for a specific GaAs quantum well. Using profile method, we obtain the PACR-linewidth as profiles of the curves. The temperature, the magnetic field, and characteristic frequency of the potential dependence of the PACR-linewidth have been investigated. The results are compared with those in the case of monophoton absorption process.
