Quench dynamics of interacting low dimensional systems

We describe an exact formulation for studying the quench dynamics of integrable systems devel-
oped by Yudson. We generalize this formulation to study the long time evolution of XXZ quantum spin chains and of a gas of interacting bosons in the continuum. The latter is described by the Lieb-Liniger model in the absence of an applied potential or by the Sine-Gordon model in the presence of a periodic potential. Starting from an arbitrary initial state we obtain the long time behabiour of the vaious systems.
