Strongly driven spin qubit in a magnetic field gradient

Coherent electron spin manipulation by a microwave electric field had been demonstrated by using a magnetic field gradient realized with micro magnet technology.[1,2] The effective electron spin resonance Hamiltonian was derived assuming that the microwave field can be treated in the lowest order perturbation.[3] Recently, with the improved micromagnet design and larger microwave power, much larger Rabi frequency of the coherent spin rotation has been observed. Therefore, we have investigated the dynamics more carefully, especially, with including the effect of multi-levels, non-linearlity of the magnetic field gradient and the spin-orbit interactions.
